The saying goes, “Home is where the heart is.” For the past two years, it’s been in California, 1,080 miles away from me. Now, it’s almost always just within reach.

Luke officially made his move to Oklahoma yesterday. It still hasn’t really hit either of us yet that seeing each other more (much more) than every two-three months is now a reality. I told him that, the night before he came out, I was thinking, “Oh, I only need to shave my legs for this week while Luke is here.” Then, realization hit. He’s here to stay.

Let it be known that this is a trade-off I am more than okay with.

As a sequel to my previous post about long-distance relationships, let me just say it was so worth the wait.

While I’ve enjoyed these past two years with Luke, I am looking forward to so many more. I’m excited to see the adventures we share together, whether they be in the real world or in our shared hobby of video games.

I could go on and on about how great it is to have him here with me, but I think, instead of talking about it, I’ll actually go enjoy it instead. Prepare yourselves for many accounts of our adventures together (except for perhaps the virtual ones).
